The Pierre Toussaint-Mother Cabrini Scholars recently spent a Day of Service planting flowers and refurbishing the grounds at Astor Tilden Services, a Catholic Charities agency in the Bronx. The scholars program is part of an outreach by the Office of Black Catholics for the Archdiocese of New York.

The students have been awarded college scholarships through the office and are majoring in areas of healthcare and social work. Astor Tilden Services provides counseling services to families.

Students involved in the project are Christy Nguyen, Jason Do, Tyler Gaston, Brianna Agyapong, Marie-Claire Milius, Brooke Bellamy, Misa Love Smith, Kofi Anthony Boadu, Jenny Nguyen, Sophonie Blaise, Daphney Plaisival and Tylar Moore-Colston.
