If you have ever wondered how the clients of Catholic Charities fair with your support, then we are thrilled to share the following letter of gratitude. Aemal, a refugee from Afghanistan who arrived in New York early this year, recently wrote a letter to Catholic Charities Immigration & Refugee Services thanking the staff there for her successful resettlement in the United States.

The letter reads:

Hello everyone,

I want to express my deepest gratitude to the Catholic Charities New York team for their unwavering support over the past 5.5 months. From the moment I set foot in the United States, Catholic Charities has been an incredible pillar of assistance, ensuring my smooth transition and helping me thrive in this new chapter of my life.

I am particularly indebted to my exceptional case manager, Kimberly Cuapio. Her unwavering dedication, professionalism, and punctuality have been truly remarkable. Kimberly has been my guiding light, involved in every step of my journey towards success. Her expertise and compassionate approach have not only provided me with vital support but have also instilled in me a sense of confidence and determination to overcome challenges.

In addition, I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to the remarkable job developers, Boukary Ouedraogo and George Tarr, for their unwavering commitment in helping me prepare for interviews and find suitable employment opportunities.
