Antonio (“Tony”) Memmo was born and raised in Reading, Pennsylvania. Both of his parents were farmers who immigrated from Italy. After his father passed away, Tony’s family returned to Italy where he lived in Bologna. Several years later, he returned to the US and attended the former Holy Name High School in Reading, where he was active insports, social and church events. He later attended the Pennsylvania State University where he received a Bachelor of Science in finance and Bachelor of Arts in Italian. Tony later received his Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Chicago.
Today, Tony is a Managing Director at the investment banking firm of Rubicon Capital Advisors. He provides advice to companies and private equity firms in the infrastructure sector. This will be Tony’s third NYC Marathon. He chose to run for Catholic Charities because, having grown up in a single-parent household with modest means, he has first-hand knowledge of the struggles of single mothers with children. The money donated as part of this event will go directly toward helping families.
Tony says the opportunity to assist Catholic Charities to fulfill its mandate inspires and motivates him to train hard to prepare for the marathon, as well as raise money from friends and family who also recognize the tremendous contribution Catholic Charities makes in the lives of so many people.
Please support Tony in his effort to help single moms and families.
