Since joining Catholic Charities’ annual Feeding Our Neighbors campaign in 2014, ShopRite Supermarkets and its guests have donated nearly $700,000 and more than 100,000 pounds of food to the fund and food drive in its Hudson Valley market area over the past eight years. The donations are distributed to food pantries, soup kitchens, and other anti-poverty programs. ShopRite employees and Catholic Charities staff were on hand at Catholic Charities of Orange, Sullivan, and Ulster’s recent Celebration of Charity dinner to present the 2023 Feeding Our Neighbors campaign donation of $67,200. ShopRite’s 26 stores in the Hudson Valley participated in the annual campaign to raise funds to support Catholic Charities’ emergency food distribution programs in the Hudson Valley counties of Dutchess, Orange, Ulster, Sullivan, and Westchester. The campaign, which ran in the Spring, raised funds through cash donations at check-out.
