On Monday, August 10, 2026, Catholic Charities of New York partnered with Met Council, America’s largest Jewish social services organization, to hold an interfaith food distribution in the Bronx for over 400 households in need. Staff and volunteers distributed bundles of 20 pantry staple items, such as halal chicken, eggs, potatoes, milk, veggies, fruit, and more, to neighbors in need.
Community members were also given informational literature about services like the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), affordable housing, crisis prevention, and Medicaid screening through organizations such as People Care and Healthfirst.
Thank you to everyone who participated for being a part of the mission of providing help and creating hope!
