These numbers represent more than just statistics—they reflect the lives transformed, like Zipporah and her children, who found safety and security through our housing programs. Every effort, every dollar, and every volunteer hour has helped to create hope for those in need.

Looking Forward: Our Vision for the Future

As we embark on our second century of service, Catholic Charities of New York is more committed than ever to addressing the pressing needs of our community. Building on the progress of this summer, our future goals focus on expanding our reach and deepening our impact in the following key areas:

  • Stabilizing Housing for Lower-Income New Yorkers
We are committed to addressing the urgent need for affordable housing in our communities. By providing stable living conditions, we help families and individuals thrive, ensuring that everyone has a safe place to call home.
  • Building New Affordable Housing for Families and Those with Special Needs
We recognize that many families and individuals with special needs face significant barriers in accessing affordable housing. Our initiatives aim to create new housing developments that cater specifically to these populations, fostering inclusivity and support.
  • Providing Nutritious Supplemental Food
Access to nutritious food is essential for health and well-being. We are dedicated to expanding our food programs to ensure that no one in our community goes hungry, particularly vulnerable populations such as children and the elderly.
  • Supporting Those With Mental Illnesses
Mental health support is critical in building resilient communities. Our programs provide essential services and resources to individuals experiencing mental health challenges, promoting recovery and integration into society.
  • Supporting and Integrating Immigrants and Refugees
New York is a mosaic of cultures, and we are committed to supporting our immigrant and refugee populations. Our initiatives aim to provide resources, advocacy, and community connections to help them integrate and thrive in their new homes.
  • Responding to Community Emergencies and Disasters
In times of crisis, our community needs us most. We are prepared to respond swiftly to emergencies and disasters, providing essential support and services to those affected, ensuring that no one is left behind.

As we reflect on our summer achievements and set our sights on the future, we recognize that none of this would be possible without your continued support. The growing need in our city requires all of us to take action—whether through financial contributions, volunteering, or simply raising awareness. Together, as we move forward into our second century, we will continue to build a city where every New Yorker can find help, hope, and a place to call home.
