Over 8 Million Meals Provided To New Yorkers Since The Start Of The Pandemic
New York: Food insecurity in the New York has increased dramatically during COVID, with Catholic Charities of New York providing over 8 million meals to those in need. Throughout the pandemic, our doors have remained open in Manhattan, The Bronx, Staten Island, Yonkers, Westchester and the Lower Hudson Valley. To this day, the pandemic pop-up pantries have always been one of our most needed services. FOX 5 / Fox5NY.com joined us at our pop-up food pantry at Holy Redeemer Parish in the East Village. Many of the people we serve on these lines are seniors and those who have lost their jobs during the pandemic. Catholic Charities of New York, with your continued support, provides bags of groceries and fresh milk so that families can create healthy and nutritious meals at home.
