Catholic Charities Launches Holiday PSAs

Catholic Charities of New York launched a series of English and Spanish language PSAs this week. Airing on NBC, on Telemundo47 and on Catholic Charities social media through the New Year, they highlight the people of New York and the work of Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of New York.

2020 has been hard. You’ve told us, we’ve seen it and have been there right alongside you. Alianza Youth Services has been helping children navigate remote learning with hundreds of laptops and tablets, education and technical support, and thousands of wellness calls checking up on families and virtual activities. Through the Feeding Our Neighbor’s Program, over 1 million emergency meals were provided to hungry New Yorkers in pop-up food pantries in six months. We’ve helped fight evictions, connected our senior citizens to technology enabling them to feel connected to family while sheltering-in-place, and protected the vulnerable. During the height of the pandemic, our agencies provided 90,000 tele-mental health calls. Emergency assistance was provided to hundreds of families across New York City, Westchester, and the Lower Hudson Valley. With your help, we’ve been able to provide warm winter clothing for 1,540 families.

Catholic Charities has been here for over a hundred years, through all the happy and trying times, for everyone, bringing hope and a promise for better days. Just like you have always been there with us, we promise, we’ll always be there for you too. This Christmas and holiday season, as we face second waves of the Coronavirus, let’s continue to create hope for and provide help to our neighbors in need.
