During this Lenten season, put your faith into action.
Rising food and living costs are leaving more families without food on the table. An estimated 1.5 million New Yorkers are struggling to get enough food. The reality is that more and more of our neighbors are at risk of hunger. No one should have to choose between food and basic needs. During Lent, please remember your neighbors who are struggling. You can live out the Gospel by helping New Yorkers in need.
This Lenten season calls on us to join in sacrifice and action. Your critical support can help impoverished children and their families with nutritious food, housing assistance, and other lifesaving care. Please help now.
Our work would not be possible without supporters like you. Thanks to your support in 2024, we achieved incredible results:
• Provided 10+ million nutritious meals
• Supported 138,000+ families in crisis
• Welcomed and integrated 108,000+ immigrants and refugees
• Cared for 99,000+ children and youth
• Sheltered 16,000+ people from homelessness
As we fast and pray during this Lenten season, we are reminded by Pope Francis’ call to put our faith into action. Pope Francis tells us that prayer always includes action.
“You pray for the hungry. Then you feed them. This is how prayer works,” said Pope Francis.
This Lent, may fasting, prayer, and almsgiving fill our hearts with love — and move us into action to care for our neighbors in need. We are so blessed to have you as a part of our caring community. Please give now.
