For more than two decades, Catholic Charities of New York has partnered with BNY Wealth to administer and manage our charitable gift annuity program.
Through a charitable gift annuity, a generous donor makes a charitable contribution that is invested and managed by our program and receives fixed payments for life. Our charitable gift annuity program is open to individuals age 65 and older, with deferred plans available for donors starting at age 55.
We could ask for no better partner in ensuring the success of this program than BNY Wealth, a subsidiary of BNY Mellon, the world’s largest custodian bank. Originally started as the Bank of New York, it was the first company listed on the New York Stock Exchange. It is now one of the world’s “systemically important” financial institutions.
Thanks to the storied expertise of BNY’s team, donors can rest assured that their gift plans and investments are in the best hands.

A Longstanding Partnership in Planned Giving
Our relationship with BNY Wealth began in 2003, when we selected them to provide comprehensive gift administration and investment management services for its gift annuity pools. Since then, the partnership has helped countless donors create charitable gifts that provide lasting support for New Yorkers in need as part of their financial portfolios.
As the BNY Wealth team shares: “It has been, and remains, BNY’s privilege to work alongside clients such as Catholic Charities to help donors turn their philanthropic intentions into lasting impact.”
The Lasting Impact of Planned Giving
Behind every charitable gift is a personal story, a desire to care for loved ones, strengthen communities, express one’s values, or leave a meaningful legacy.
Planned giving offers an opportunity to align those personal goals with long-term financial planning. Through thoughtful gift planning, donors can create lasting support for the causes they care about while potentially realizing financial and tax benefits for themselves and their families.
