A Lifetime Achievement Award was also presented to The Honorable Robert Drain (Ret.), Of Counsel at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom.

Young Professionals’ Midnight Run November 8, 2017
Midnight Runs do not happen at midnight or involve running, but they do help New Yorkers in need. Young Catholic Renewal assembled and distributed food and socks to homeless people throughout New York City. The distribution of items took place in the area surrounding Penn Station.

The Fall Reception September 25, 2017
Thanks to the generous supporters of the 2017 Fall Reception, Catholic Renewal raised nearly $1.2 million to provide food to those in need. In light of Puerto Rico’s particular need this year, more than $100,000 of funds raised were earmarked to help provide aid for hurricane relief.
The reception honored leaders in New York’s restructuring community, Patrick J. Nash, Jr. of Kirkland & Ellis and The Honorable Arthur J. Gonzalez (Ret.).
YCR Midnight Run April 27th, 2017
Young Catholic Renewal once again hosted a distribution of food and other basic supplies to homeless people throughout New York City. The distribution of items took place in the area surrounding Grand Central Terminal and Penn Station.

Catholic Renewal raised more than $900,000 to assist Catholic Charities in feeding the hungry throughout the Archdiocese of New York. More than 185 sponsoring firms contributed approximately $870,000 and the inaugural Catholic Renewal Live and Online Auction raised an additional $47,000, helping further Catholic Renewal’s mission of providing meals for those in need. The event was held at the New York Athletic Club and honored D.J. (Jan) Baker, Partner of Latham & Watkins, who was presented with the 2016 St. Francis Service Award. Catholic Renewal raised more than $1.1 million to assist Catholic Charities in feeding the hungry throughout the Archdiocese of New York. Sponsoring firms contributed to more than $835,000 and the Jones Day Foundation provided a grant in the amount of $250,000 for Feeding Our Neighbors. The event was held at the New York Athletic Club and honored Corinne Ball, Partner of Jones Day, who was presented with the 2015 St. Francis Service Award by His Eminence Timothy Michael Cardinal Dolan. LLC, for his steadfast commitment to the Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of New York and the corporate restructuring industry.
More than 200 restructuring professionals attended the event along with His Eminence, Edward Cardinal Egan.
