Catholic Renewal Wine Masterclass: Pinot Noir: Is Burgundy Still the Pinnacle? Thursday, April 11, 2024
The Catholic Renewal “World of Pinot Noir” event raised funds for Catholic Charities’ programs. Guests enjoyed a blind tasting of Burgundy wines alongside top Pinot Noirs from South Africa, Germany, and Australia, exploring whether Burgundy still holds its place as the holy grail.
The evening included a raffle for a case of wine, and donation cards, starting at $750, encouraged contributions. Bill Derrough’s moving story inspired generous giving. Heather Lennox opened the event, with closing remarks by Frank Oswald.

Young Professionals’ Midnight Run November 8, 2017
Midnight Runs do not happen at midnight or involve running, but they do help New Yorkers in need. Young Catholic Renewal assembled and distributed food and socks to homeless people throughout New York City. The distribution of items took place in the area surrounding Penn Station.

Thanks to the generous supporters of the 2017 Fall Reception, Catholic Renewal raised nearly $1.2 million to provide food to those in need. In light of Puerto Rico’s particular need this year, more than $100,000 of funds raised were earmarked to help provide aid for hurricane relief.
The reception honored leaders in New York’s restructuring community, Patrick J. Nash, Jr. of Kirkland & Ellis and The Honorable Arthur J. Gonzalez (Ret.).

Young Catholic Renewal once again hosted a distribution of food and other basic supplies to homeless people throughout New York City. The distribution of items took place in the area surrounding Grand Central Terminal and Penn Station.
