Returning for its sixth Christmas season, the Giving Machine is once again available in New York City through December 31, 2024. Located at The Church of Our Savior, 59 Park Avenue, this one-of-a-kind donation opportunity invites New Yorkers to make a meaningful difference during the holidays. As the only Giving Machine in New York City, it provides a truly unique way to give back to those in need.
Catholic Charities New York has proudly partnered with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for the Light the World Giving Machine campaign, alongside other global charities such as UNICEF, the American Red Cross, and CARE. Last year, these special vending machines drew over 555,000 visitors worldwide, generating more than $10 million in donations for charitable causes.
Our NYC Giving Machine offers a variety of thoughtful items you can donate to directly support individuals and families in need, including:
- Coloring Books
- Hygiene Kits
- Basketballs

With donation amounts ranging from $7 to $300, 100% of each contribution goes directly to the donor’s chosen cause, thanks to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, which generously covers all operational costs.
Dave Marriott, representing the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, shared his excitement about the initiative during the Times Square press conference: “Being at Times Square, the crossroads of the world, for the kickoff of the Light the World initiative is incredible. These Giving Machines are about shifting perspectives during the holiday season—encouraging people to visit not for snacks, but to give back to their community in a meaningful way.”
Camille Johnson, General Relief Society President of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, added: “We’re thrilled because this initiative benefits our neighbors here in New York City and communities around the world.”
Catholic Charities NY is honored to participate in the Giving Machine campaign once again. Monsignor Kevin Sullivan, Executive Director of Catholic Charities NY, highlighted the importance of this opportunity: “It allows us to promote our programs and encourage giving as we celebrate the Christmas season.”
As 2024 draws to a close, we invite you to visit the Giving Machine at 59 Park Avenue. Together, we can help create a brighter future for those in need—one gift at a time.
