Catholic Charities Reaffirms Our Solidarity with Immigrants & Refugees

Catholic Charities reaffirms our solidarity with immigrants and refugees who come to this nation to make a better life for themselves, their families, and their neighbors.  This is particularly important in times of uncertainty and anxiety.

The newly issued Executive Orders impact areas of immigration policy in ways that are deeply disconcerting and troubling.  Catholic Charities expertise and history of welcoming and integrating newcomers to the United States gives us deep familiarity with their needs and contributions. The Executive Orders cause us concern, mostly because they put forward an attitude and approach that first views immigrants as a threat and liability. We view immigrants as an opportunity and asset. 

We will continue to engage and share the experience and realities of New Americans among us.
