Founded and incorporated in 1896, Jeanne d’Arc Residence is administered by the Sisters of Divine Providence, Kentucky. The Residence provides temporary residence for 140 women of various nationalities, cultures and religions with limited means. For over a century, the sisters have provided a safe, temporary and affordable residence for women in a Christian environment. Many of the women are working towards degrees and/or pursuing professional careers. Many are immigrants; some are US citizens. Opportunities for spiritual, cultural, human enrichment are offered in an effort to promote personal growth and to develop a greater appreciation of the various religions, cultures and ethnic background of residents.
