Help Catholic Charities Provide Emergency Relief During the COVID-19 Pandemic

The COVID-19 pandemic is a unique challenge for our community, one with many uncertainties. Please help us continue to serve our neighbors most at risk during this crisis.

From 9/11 to Superstorm Sandy, Catholic Charities of New York has responded to community-wide disasters promptly, compassionately, and long-term.  We are doing so again in this current crisis.

Our professional staff is particularly trained to compassionately and professionally coordinate and advocacte for the services needed by those impacted. This is only made possible by the care and generosity of people like you.

Here are some of the concrete ways we will respond to the needs of the most vulnerable New Yorkers impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic: will put additional strain on our resources:

  • Emergency Wage Relief: Work cancellations mean many individuals lose their sole source of income
  • Food Pantries: Long-term support is needed for an expanding number of individuals served
  • Eviction Prevention: Lost wages can cause people to fall behind on rent
  • Utilities Assistance: Electric, heat, gas, phone bills will continue despite lost wages
  • Childcare Support: With schools out of session, parents still working during the crisis need a safe place for their children

Our resources are and will be strained  Your support today is needed to help us respond to a growing need for our vital  services.

Our staff and volunteers, in the midst of this ongoing crisis, continue to provide critically needed services to vulnerable New Yorkers, and I thank you for keeping others in mind during this tumultuous time.
