Summary:
Alianza Division of Catholic Charities Community Services is look for an Outreach Coordinator to support the Beacon Program’s community outreach activities. Working closely with the Program Director, the Outreach Coordinator will forge relationships with youth who are chronically absent or have dropped out of school to persuade them to engage in school and with Beacon programming.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement an effective outreach plan for communicating with the school community, families, disengaged youth and young adults, community-based agency leaders and social services providers, neighborhood associations, and other stakeholders to promote the beacon program.
  • Coordinate with the Activity Specialist to maintain the Community Garden and Food Pantry with SYEP participants during summer programming.
  • Assist in program marketing, creating electronic and printable materials such as list-serves, flyers, brochures, mailing lists, directories, and other related outreach materials.
  • Coordinate information gathering/sharing for participants regarding high school, college, and vocational opportunities.
  • Provide general assistance with administrative tasks.
  • Attend Department and Program meetings as directed.
  • Other job-related duties and special projects as assigned.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
Full Time position: Monday to Friday 1:00-9:00pm. July and August flex hours between the hours of 8:00am to 6:00pm.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience in the field
  • Bi-lingual English-Spanish helpful.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Computer literate.
  • Comply with DOE, SCA, and DOMHG, SACC regulations.
COVID-19 Adjustment: Position will be onboarded virtually. Potential to orient to the physical office space in person depending on CDC and agency requirements at the time of onboarding. Updates to protocol are implemented on a regular basis.
