Supervisory Responsibilities:




Summary: Responsible for the coordination of environmental maintenance activities at program sites. Includes site development and coordination of lease activities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Conducts inspections at program apartment sites as needed. To complete site inspection reports and to facilitate appropriate corrective action in response to environmental needs and concerns.
  • Will facilitate site development, which entails procurement of new sites. Conducting apartment and site searches, communicating with real estate agents, inspecting prospective sites to determine suitability with respect to program needs and requirements. Assisting with lease negotiations.
  • To communicate with landlords and property managers to address environmental concerns and to facilitate appropriate corrective actions. This can include direct contact with vendors assigned to perform repairs and/or identify local vendors who can assist with needed repairs. To maintain a database of relevant resources in this area.
  • To facilitate and coordinate the renewal of apartment leases and to maintain a record keeping system for these activities in collaboration with other members of the team involved in this process.
  • To facilitate the purchase of furnishings and other supplies needed for apartments. To coordinate distribution of these items as necessary.
  • To assist with special projects involving environmental renovations and improvements that emerges.
  • To coordinate corrective action to respond to environmental emergencies at program sites (e.g. heating emergencies during the winter months).
  • To maintain appropriate record keeping and documentation for all areas of activity related to facilities management.
  • To compile reports as necessary and compile data related to facilities management activities.
  • To provide oversight to storage facility used for the storage of apartment supplies and furnishings. To maintain and update inventory of all items kept in storage.
  • To coordinate apartment re-location activity as necessary. This involves communication with landlords, moving vendors and other individuals that are essential to this process.
  • To coordinate with the Director of Supported Housing and the Accounts Payable Department to resolve any payment issues.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position. Ability to work flexible hours.

Working conditions and physical demands required:

Employee walks, sits, stands, bends, subject to lifting over 50 pounds and moves continually during working hours. Employee will be exposed to the use of routine cleaning and other chemicals.


Education and/or experience required:

  • High school diploma.
  • Experience with property management and/or real estate activities.
  • Willing to travel on a regular basis.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
