Summary: Provide administrative support and assist the Director of Cultural Programs in overseeing, coordinating, implementing, monitoring and supervising of all the arts and cultural programs and events of the Alianza Dominicana Cultural Center.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Assist in the day-to-day operation and supervision of programs, staff, services, documents, activities and events.
- Responsible for the Outreach and promotion using all the available media at the Cultural Center.
- Coordinate with the curator or be the curator of the exposition, exhibition or events that were planned in the Cultural center.
- Assist Director in monitoring, reporting, administrative documents, program planning and development of program activities.
- Overall responsibility for the successful program implementation and outcome attainment.
- Work with the Director to insure prompt submission of reports.
- Help to provide administrative /logistical support to service integration staff.
- Assist with supervision of all activities that occur at the Cultural Center site; i.e.: contracted, sub-contracted, collocated, linkages, SIM and special activities.
- Co-facilitate all orientations, workshops and courses conducted at the Cultural Center
- Attend monthly Division Directors meetings.
- Responsible for the develop and maintain of registry of artists and arts institutions.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position. Work hours are 1:00 PM to 8 PM Monday - Friday and Saturday 10 am to 4 pm
Qualifications
Skills, Licenses, and/or competencies required:
- College Degree and 3+ years of related experience
- Good communications and organizational skills.
- Knowledge in at least one area of the Dominican Folklore or Popular Tradition
- Knowledge of the use of the different media platforms
