Foster Care

All children deserve love, stability and safety. When they cannot find this at home, Catholic Charities agencies step in. For more than a century, we have been recognized as major providers of high-quality foster care throughout New York.

The 82nd Annual CYO Club of Champions Tribute

SUNY Approves Cardinal McCloskey Community Charter School

Finally, good news for children who suffer far too much -- those in foster care, at risk and in the neediest communities – children who too often age out of school, then fall behind in life.  After years of planning and negotiations, the just-approved Cardinal McCloskey Community Charter School can offer these children a chance at a better future.

Therapeutic Foster Boarding Homes

Children with serious emotional, behavioral and other challenging conditions often benefit from family-based alternatives rather than institutional treatment. This is tough work. Catholic Charities supports participants who offer therapeutic foster boarding homes by providing frequent home visits, respite and emergency on-call services.
