Mingle, Enjoy & Raise Funds for New York Youth

Mike Richter, member of the 1994 New York Rangers Stanley Cup team, and President of BrightCore Energy was honored at the 82nd CYO Dinner

Come one, come all to Catholic Charities NY’s eighty-third annual – that’s right; 83rd! – Club of Champions Tribute dinner!

This special event, attended not only by hundreds of New York’s movers and shakers but folks who care about kids, celebrates CYO’s legacy and future of building today’s youth into tomorrow’s leaders. Year after year the Club of Champions Tribute helps fund inner-city community centers, parish-based athletic, cultural, volunteer and scouting programs and other initiatives throughout the Archdiocese of New York.

  • John V. Mara Sportsman of the Year Awardee:  Harry Carson

The Catholic Youth Organization strives to develop values and strength of character in tomorrow’s leaders through spiritually based athletic cultural and volunteer activities.

CYO operates a comprehensive program of athletic activities for young people.  Its wide range of programs include art and essays contests, cheerleading, scouting, theater, track and field, baseball, softball, golf and, of course, basketball.

  • This past year alone, over 150 parishes and schools participated in CYO Archdiocese of New York.
  • CYO athletic teams registered more than 26,000 participants.
  • This is all made possible by more than 3,000 volunteers that dedicate their time and effort to ensure the CYO mission is accomplished.

Proceeds from the Club of Champions dinner support CYO programs that serve tens of thousands of children and young people --non-Catholic and Catholic alike-- throughout the Archdiocese of New York.
