UPDATE March 17, 2020 With public schools in New York City closed in an effort to combat Covid-19, the Mayor’s Office and the New York City Department of Education announced yesterday that public schools will be open to provide ‘grab and go’ breakfast and lunch packages for ALL students. Public schools remain closed for classes and after school programs.

School’s Chancellor, Richard Carranza, said in a recent press conference that students should go to their local school buildings for the “grab and go” meals.

Students may pick up their meals from 7:30am-1:30pm outside the main entrance to every school building. Since the schools are closed, students are not allowed to eat the food there.
