Catholic Charities Staten Island is Where Drive-In Movies Are Making A Comeback

On July 17, Catholic Charities of Staten Island and Borough President James Oddo announced “Drive-In Movies at The Mount” at Mount Loretto Unique Area in Pleasant Plains.

Vincent Ignizio, the CEO of Catholic Charities of Staten Island, a Catholic Charites of New York agency, is excited to present these movies to bring people and their families together for a fun summer activity. “We’re pleased to announce the newest event series on our campus. Drive-in movies are a unique experience and we’re looking forward to bringing the community together for some local fun this summer,” said Ignizio.

This drive-in movie series begins July 26 with “Captain Marvel” followed by “The Incredibles 2” on August 2. The next movie set to play is “Avengers: Endgame” on August 16. This will be the first time Avengers Endgame is premiered anywhere at a drive-in movie. All the movie showings start at 8:30 p.m. each date.

Catholic Charities of Staten Island as well as Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of New York aim to provide services that promote family life, create a caring and healing community, and promote peace and compassion. Drive-In Movies at The Mount is a perfect opportunity to spend time with family and friend while getting more involved with Catholic Charities of Staten Island.
