...Award ceremony to be held — Astor Services for Children & Families, a nonprofit organization that provides children’s mental health services, child welfare services and early childhood development programs, recently announced that it will soon host its annual Children’s Awards Ceremony.

The ceremony, which will honor students from the organization’s special education school, is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. Thursday, June 23 at the Astor Learning Center, 6339 Mill Street, Rhinebeck.

During the ceremony, students will be honored with awards in recognition of their achievements in areas including academics, social skills, music, art and athletics. An award for “Student of the Year” will also be presented to an individual that has shown major academic and behavioral gains.

Additionally, one student and staff member will be recognized with the Joel Robert Crenshaw Award, which honors those that embody the organization’s core principles of caring, resiliency, compassion and commitment to others.

Family, former students, staff and the organization’s board members are invited to the ceremony, which will be followed by a barbecue luncheon.

Astor Services for Children & Families provides behavioral and educational services including residential treatment, therapeutic foster family care, early childhood programs and community-based behavioral health and prevention services. For information, visitwww.astorservices.org or 845-871-1117.
