New York Bar Foundation Presents Grant to Catholic Charities Community Services

The New York Bar Foundation recently presented a grant of $7,500 to Catholic Charities Community Services, Archdiocese of New York, for their Central American Minors Legal Services Expansion project.

“The CAM project has already given parents hope that they will be able to legally reunify with their children after years of separation. With help from The New York Bar Foundation, CCCS has already submitted 87 applications for 166 children and qualifying family members. With support from The New York Bar Foundation, CCCS is able to facilitate the lawful reunification of families through the US Refugee Program.”
 
In early 2017, The New York Bar Foundation allocated more than $640,000 in grants to organizations across New York to assist in:

• Increasing public understanding of the law 
• Improving the justice system and the law
• Facilitating the delivery of legal services
• Enhancing professional competence and ethics
