Catskill Confidential: Callicoon hospital joins Prescription Drug Take-Back Day- Record Online

Grover Hermann Hospital is joining forces with local police agencies to sponsor a Prescription Drug Take-Back Day on Jan. 21.
Unwanted pills can be dropped off between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. at the Grover Hermann Hospital lobby on State Route 97 in Callicoon.
They can also be deposited in bins at the Town of Fallsburg, Village of Liberty and Village of Monticello police departments. Liquids and needles cannot be accepted.
Take-back days, organized by the Prescription Drug Abuse Prevention Task Force and Catholic Charities of Orange and Sullivan, have helped collect more than 1,700 pounds of unwanted prescriptions in the past three years.
Prescription medications can be dropped off all year round at the three police departments, and between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. at the Department of Family Services Robert Travis Building in Liberty.
Immigration assistance program in Fallsburg
SOUTH FALLSBURG - Catholic Charities Community Services of Orange and Sullivan, Alianza Latina de Condado de Sullivan, and Latinos Unidos Para Progreso are hosting a free "Know Your Rights" immigration assistance program on Jan. 21.
The program begins at 11:30 a.m. at the South Fallsburg Community Center, 12 Laurel Ave.
