WHEN: Tuesday, January 24 at 11 am
WHERE: ShopRite Supermarket – Greenway Plaza, 25-43 Prospect Street, Yonkers
WHY: Catholic Charities and ShopRite Supermarkets are joining forces once again to ensure that hungry New Yorkers in the Hudson Valley have enough to eat at this time of year when need is high and donations are low. Feeding Our Neighbors is an archdiocesan-wide effort to raise food and funds to replenish food pantries and soup kitchens that feed hungry neighbors during the most critical time of the year.
In 2016, Feeding Our Neighbors raised the equivalent of more than 1.5 million meals, supported in large part by $125,000 in cash donations and more than 7,000 pounds of food collected at ShopRite locations throughout the Hudson Valley.
Catholic Charities, in partnership with ShopRite, aims to surpass those results in 2017 to feed the hungry across New York.
